Calcined Kaolin

What is Calcined Kaolin?

Calcined Kaolin, also known as Metakaolin, is composed of heated Kaolin clay. This process, called calcination, transforms the clay, creating a unique set of properties. A good quality Calcined Kaolin should be a pure white to off-white color and anything bordering “pure grey” is suspect.

It has a very fine, silky feel and is odorless and non-staining. Our Cosmetic Grade Calcined Kaolin is of high purity and carefully selected for its cosmetic applications.

Calcined Kaolin: Gentle Detoxification

We come into contact with a huge range of toxins numerous times every day. These toxins are given off from common products like plants, cleaning supplies, cosmetics, commercial skin care products, and even polluted air.

Calcined Kaolin is known for its ability to absorb and remove toxins, impurities, and chemicals. Calcined Kaolin helps draw out impurities from the skin.

Calcined Kaolin is generally suitable for use on all skin types, including sensitive skin. Due to the mild nature of Calcined Kaolin, we recommend it for use on all skin types. Our Cosmetic Grade Calcined Kaolin is for external use only.
